Chester is known for its thriving craft beer scene, with a variety of pubs, bars, and breweries offering a wide selection of local and international beers.

We are a bottle shop and craft beer bar in Chester city centre that offers a range of local and international beers on tap, as well as a selection of bottled beers and ciders. The bar has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with knowledgeable staff who are happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions about the beers on offer. Customers can enjoy their drinks inside the bar or take them to go. The bar also hosts regular events such as meet the brewer nights, tasting sessions, film and music nights.

With 8 double fridges full to the gills with beautifully chilled beer and cider we have a little something for everyone. Big, juicy IPAs for the craft beer fan. Traditional crisp, light German lager for the lager fanatic. Rich malty bitters and stouts for the UK traditionalists and of course an array of weird and wonderful beers from Belgium to dazzle the sense and delight the tastebuds.

Any of the bottles and cans can either be taken home or, for a small corkage fee, be drunk on site.

You don’t even have to take your beer home! You could stay and enjoy anything from the fridges, one of the eleven draught beer lines, or the four cider taps we have.

We believe there’s an art to creating a perfect beer & cider board so when you visit you won’t just get a selection of identikit pales. We’ll always have at least one lager on tap as well as a sour and a dark beer. We often run a tap specifically for lambic and mixed-fermentation beers as well as less well known styles.

If you’re not sure what to opt for, then why not go for a beer flight – three thirds of any of the beer or cider off our tap list – so you can explore the full range of flavours available.
